Paul Cuffee Middle School Students Visit LEMS

A select group of students from the Paul Cuffee Middle School visit the Laboratory for Engineering Man/Machine Systems on October 28, 2011. During this visit they were engaged by Prof. Kimia regarding a college education in Computer Engineering, as well as the role of hardware design and computer vision, specifically. The students enjoyed presentations from graduate students and staff on the following topics:
- Understanding Digital Images: Cameras and Pixels by Firat Kalaycilar
- Tracking Objects in Real Time by Maruthi Narayanan
- Inserting Object into a Movie by Fatih Calakli
- Robotic Placement of Electronic Parts by Ken Silverman
